Myanmar and EITI Process

Myanmar started the EITI process in 2012, which includes the publication of annual EITI reports covering reconciled revenue data and other key information of the extractive industries.

The management of extractive resources, tax collection system, fair investment climate, etc. can be improved by the EITI process. The public can also have open access to related data and other information.

Public Debates

According to EITI standard, it is required to ensure that the EITI reports are widely distributed and public debates on EITI reports are facilitated. Consequently, the Myanmar EITI National Coordination Secretariat has been organizing public debates where the public can discuss the Myanmar EITI process and EITI reports.
