Union Government is announced in order to ensure successful implementation of the Myanmar Extractive Industries Trasparency Initiative  with the objectives; (i) to have a transparency in mineral resources for good governance, (II) to have a trasparency and accountability environment attracting the foreign investment, (iii) to disclose information on the tax and revenues from the mineral resource sector, (iv) to have stronger implementation process in public financial management, and (v) to lead the implementation of the transparenycy of the extractive industry on behalf of country.
